To contribute to the construction of educational equity through collaborative work among teachers and students that allows the reduction of achievement gaps and access to quality education for students from vulnerable populations.
Vision
By 2025, ConEducación will be nationally recognized for its volunteer network that connects for education through teacher training programs and preparation of high school graduates for higher education. ConEducación will also have strong partnerships with national governmental organizations that will contribute to the achievement of our mission.
Our Story
This project was born four months after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to contribute from afar and from our personal experience to public education in Colombia. The name ConEducación is a play on words. Con educación means with education, but ConEducación also puts together the words Connect and Education. We believe that education is a social engine. It is through education that social gaps can be closed and educational inequalities can be reduced, education being a bridge that brings people together and communicates. In creating a community we seek to connect different people and experiences around a common purpose: education. Hence, the foundation’s slogan: We connect for education.
